Sant'Agata di Militello (Messina Province) is 121 km from Messina, alt. 30 m, on the Tyrrhenian coast west of Capo d'Orlando, area 33.5 sq km, pop. 12,858, post-code 98076, tel. 0941. Economy: agriculture, handicraft (lacework and wrought iron), marble and organic feritlizer industries.

It was founded in 1630 by Luigi Callego in the vincinity of a Norman tower by the sea; from this the town began to develop.
