San Cono (Catania Province) is 97 km from Catania, alt. 525 m, on the south Monti Erei, on the slopes of Monte San Marco, area 6.6 sq km. Its population is just over 3,700, post-code 95040, tel. 0933. Economy: agriculture (prickly pears) and stock farming.

This little town is on the border of the provinces of Catania, Enna, and Caltanissetta. It was founded in 1785 by the noble family Trigona della Floresta.

Churches (Caltagirone Diocese) include the following:
Santa Maria delle Grazie (Chiesa Madre)

The 2nd Sunday in May is the Festa of San Cono. There is a festival of cactus fruit in October.
