Campobello di Licata (Agrigento Province) is 50 km. from Agrigento, alt. 316 m., in the lower Salso Valley, area 80.9 sq. km., pop. over 12,000, post-code 92023, tel. 0922. Agricultural economy: wheat, almonds, olives, grapes.

Founded in 1681 by Raimondo Ramondetta, Duke of Montalbo.

The Chiesa di Gesu e Maria pre-dates the foundation of the town: it was the church of all the people working in the area.
