Probate Records of England

Probate Records Searches: Original probate records are legal court actions which determined the executor and those so named (authorized) to receive portions of a deceased person’s estate. I know how to search these records and have access to the Family History Library’s vast collection of these. Only 10 percent of England’s population ever left wills, but wills on average, provide the names of at least three individuals, which dramatically increases the capability of finding and determining a relationship of an ancestor and his parents.
