Castellana Sicula (Palermo Province) is 100 km. from Palermo, alt. 765 m., in the Madonie on the southern face of Monte San Salvatore, area 72.54 sq. km., pop. over 4,100, post-code 90020, tel. 0921, Economy: agriculture (cereals), tourism.

Castellana was created during the 18th century following the fragmentation of a number of large estates. It became an autonomous comune in 1947, when it separated form Petralia Sottana.

Churches (Cefalu Diocese) include the following:
S. Francesco di Paola (Chiesa Madre, 1968)
S. Giuseppe (Calcarelli - suburb of Castellana Sicula)
SS. Crocifisso (Nociazzi - suburb of Castellana Sicula)
