Baucina (Palermo Province) is 35 km. from Palermo, alt. 550 m., on the southwestern slopes of Pizzo Trigna, near the River Milicia, area 24.3 sq. km., pop. over 2,000, post-code 90020, tel. 091. Agricultural economy.

The village, dating from 1626, has a regular grid layout. It was a fief of the Marquises of Montemaggiore.

Festa of Santa Fortunata is held in Baucina on the second Sunday in September.
